Curious about Plastic Money

What happens if my plastic money is lost or stolen?

If your plastic money, such as a credit or debit card, is lost or stolen, you should immediately contact your bank or card issuer to report the loss or theft. You can usually find the bank's phone number on the back of the card or on their website.

When you report the loss or theft, the bank will usually cancel the card and issue you a new one. They may also advise you to file a police report and provide you with a reference number for the report.

It's important to monitor your account activity regularly, either through online banking or by checking your monthly statements, to ensure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If you do notice any unauthorized transactions, you should report them to your bank or card issuer immediately. Most banks have zeroliability policies, which means you won't be held responsible for fraudulent charges, as long as you report them promptly.
